Markus Carlton is a talented jazz guitarist who plays many standards and also his own compositions. And he engages a crowd well.
Bernie Pearl is a jazz guitarist, singer, and teacher. He is well-known throughout the area for the energy of his shows, performing standards and new material.

In Contempt is a classic rock 'n' soul band, known for its soulful, energetic performances, a tight, in-the-pocket groove, and a repertoire of all those great Classic Rock, Soul and Motown songs that make you want to dance and groove. We perform songs by The Temptations, The Four Tops, Al Green, Stevie Wonder, Cee Lo Green, The Doobie Brothers, Eddie Money, Santana, Ray Charles, James Brown and many, many more.
Though based in San Pedro, its members come from diverse backgrounds, both musically and geographically. From New York to Alabama, from Rock, Blues, Jazz, Soul and R&B, each member brings their own unique and extensive musical experience to In Contempt.
They love performing and sharing this music, but most of all we want everybody to have a great time!
