Parkhurst Galleries Bring World-Class Art to San Pedro
Violet Parkhurst was a remarkable person and artist.
Her seascapes are legendary, collected by more than 5 million people around the world, including four U.S. Presidents, two presidents of China, a King of Saudi Arabia, and many celebrities—Clark Gale was her first admirer.
Parkhurst paintings are on permanent collection in dozens of museums around the world including the China National Museum of Fine Art and the Stockholm Museum. She has also been on exhibit in the Louvre and Prado Museums.
And her legacy lives on in the Parkhurst Galleries in San Pedro and Temple City.
The San Pedro gallery, which she founded in 1947, features more than 4000 square feet of premier exhibit space showing the latest works of local and master artists from around the world. Located in the heart of the Downtown San Pedro Art District, it also offer oil painting classes, custom framing, and fine art restoration and appraisal services.
The Painting with the Masters Unlimited Art Classes enroll throughout the year and have become known as the best, most informative, and most fun painting classes in the region.
