See the Art Waves Exhibition June 10 at LA Yacht Club
The Los Angeles Yacht Club, is hosting the first Art Waves exhibition on Saturday, June 10 from noon-6 p.m., in the LAYC clubhouse.
The fine art exhibition will focus on ocean life, one of Southern California’s favorite subjects. The show s loosely-themed, featuring abstract, conceptual, realism, sculptural works, photography, and painting.
The diverse works will be on display in the famous Trans-Pac room of the LA Yacht Clubhouse. Proceeds LAYC’s Community Sailing Program that teaches people how to sail.
Featured artists include: Alejandro Alia, Jean Jacques Bastarache, Michele Boyer, Tianlu Chen, Bruce Cook, Beth Elliott, John Geary, Laurel Gerber, Rene Holovsky, Richard Kessler, Toti O’Brien, Stuart Rapeport, Gil Mares, Michael McCall, Sybil McMiller,
Patrick Paul McLynn, Mike Saijo, Susan Staudt, Linda Stelling, Dan Van Clapp, Sandra Vista, and Juan Carlos Zaldivar.
The Los Angeles Yacht Club was established in 1901 by a group of avid sailors and has continuously been an active club of sailors, racing enthusiasts, and community supporters.
The Community Sailing Program teaches children, families and individuals of all ages how to sail with a dedicated fleet of small sailboats, allowing anyone to get out on the water.
