Operational Update August 8-14

-We will be operating regular hours this week, Monday-Friday 10 a.m.-4 p.m. and Saturday noon-4 p.m.

-We will be doing a lot of work on the storage room and displays this week.

-We will be conducting Team San Pedro training this Saturday from 10 a.m.-noon at the Visitor Center.

-The air conditioning in the Visitor Center is still out of order and we are still awaiting the arrival of parts.

Visit San Pedro is inviting everyone to submit their favorite recipes to be considered to be published in the Visit San Pedro Cookbook to be published in time for holiday giving. Cooking Demonstration Class with Chef Mario Matrinoli

Performed in the 731-741 Pacific Avenue Penthouse Loft Display Kitchen, with Chef Mario Martinoli - Television and Radio personality, and professional chef with over 30 years of "hands on" experience in busy, successful restaurant kitchens (www.mariosfamilytable.com)

Monday, July 25 - 6 to 8 p.m.
Reservations are $65 per person, limited to 20 guests

Includes the Demonstration Class, Recipes, food prepared during the class, and wine (served with dinner)

For this class, Mario will be preparing fish, and summer salad

Art Association Holding Free Summer Classes for Kids

San Pedro Art Association has announced new summer art classes for all grade levels. The first class will be painting on canvas for middle school students.

The class will be instructed by SPAA member and artist, Carlos Boisselle.

Be ready to finish a piece by famed artist Marty Bell.

The class will be held on July 23 at Our Creations, 416 W, 6th Street, Downtown. This is an opportunity to learn to paint from a experienced artist.
